RHIA HURT
Rhia Hurt is a fine artist currently based in New York City and California. She received her MFA in Painting at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2009 and has since shown her artwork in California, New York, Berlin, and Toronto. Her work is in private and museum collections nationally. In addition to her studio art practice, Hurt is also the founder and Advisory Board Member of Trestle Gallery, an arts organization in Brooklyn, NY. She is an elected member of the group, Abstract American Artists, which was founded in 1936. Hurt is also an educator working for Pajaro Valley Unified School District as a curriculum coach for the arts.
