3walls & Sarah Shepard Gallery
3walls was thrilled to collaborate with the Sarah Shepard Gallery for the third time with a show at the Larkspur, CA, gallery featuring the work of Alexandra Chiou, Allison Gildersleeve and Julia von Eichel. The exhibition was on view from July 15-September 9, 2023. Chiou draws on nature and memory to create layered works on paper that celebrate her father’s life, legacy, and memory. Von Eichel takes advantage of the plasticity of her oil pastels that she shapes in twirling motion as if animated by an organic life. And, Gildersleeve’s landscape paintings vibrate with color and energy and, in some cases, a clutter of nature that emanates a deep calm.
