STEPHEN HICKS
Born in Stamford CT, Steve Hicks received a BA from Colorado College, studied architecture at Columbia University and practiced in NYC. He later attended Yale School of Art, where he received his MFA and the Ely Harwood Schless Prize for painting. The American Academy of Arts and Letters later awarded him a Purchase Prize and he recently had his seventh solo show at George Billis Gallery in New York City. He has taught painting and drawing at Yale University, New York Academy of Art, SUNY Purchase and Parsons. He maintains a studio in Gowanus.
